I'm using the latest Aldrian mod with a computer than can more than run FoF, and I get a lot of lag. I've tried everything in the "Read before posting" topic, but it doesn't help much. Start calling out any ideas I can try. I can provide more info if needed.

Computer specs?
Tried deleting fretsonfire.ini in appdata?

If you're using the latest alarian mod, the fretsonfire.ini won't be in %appdata%, it's in your root FoF directory (The one with the .exe in it). DELETE the fretsonfire.ini that's in your ROOT fretsonfire directory (The one with the .exe)
Also, graphics drivers up to date?
Color quality set to 32-bit?
If you have a dual core (Or quad core), have you un-ticked all but one of the cores on the fretsonfire.exe process?
(As BSRaven said), Computer specs?

Are you turning off un-needed programs before playing?

Do you have anything in your log file? either in your main fof folder, or in Start > Run > %appdata%/fretsonfire/
(not the configuration settings file)

EDIT: New problem. I ran Counter-Strike: Source, and it ran ok, but not good at 20-30 fps. I ran FOF and it ran slow as usual. I then ran Counter-Strike: Source again, and it ran slower than before at 10-12 fps.

How many processes are generally running when you play FOF?

Around 90. I realize that is a lot and probably the problem, but the thing is, it's not my computer. It's my Dad's, so I shouldn't really screw around with processes and stuff. Maybe I'll talk to him about it, but he can still do his normal stuff on it, so he probably won't do much about it. I can still play Counter Strike 1.6, so that's good.

LOL Most I ever have going is usually between 30-40, and that's still pretty high!

Holy hell 90 processes. im surprised the thing hasn't cought on fire.. BTW you can close processes without it hurting anything, its not like your uninstalling anything your just closing the programs. if you close one that shouldnt have been close just run that program again. closing processes is about as dangerous as turning of the tv when you have finished watching it. and if anyone tells you DONT DO THAT ITS NOT YOUR PC call them a retard, then junk punch them :woot:
