I posted this over at the DWSK forum but there's like 2 people there so I thought maybe I could find some help here which would be greatly appreciated!
Hey all,
I just got a Roland TD-4 Module and have been racking my brain trying to get this to work with phase shift. As of now I have it hooked up to my PC with a Midi to USB interface, Windows detects it as USB20MIDI, and shows up in the list when I choose "Midi Link" in PS with the signal light green whenever I hit a pad. I choose generic as the profile matches all of my Midi notes for each pad and cymbal.
After that though, they just do not work. I have tried mapping the set with the Midi mapper program, saved and chose that, and the game still would not recognize my drum inputs.
Here is my midi profile I am using that came stock with the game:

This is my mapped profile for seven lane. Again pads and cymbals reacted perfectly in the program, but PS won't recognize it after selecting this profile in Midi Link. I'm honestly just looking to play Rock Band Pro stuff so this setup would be just fine if the game would let it work.

And here is my midi_data. The only thing that is really catching my eye is that it keeps showing up as channel 00. I have my module set to channel 1 as that seems to be the most responsive with the midi to usb interface but it does not seem to be reflected here. I even tried changing the midi channel to 9 on the module but that doesn't do anything or change the midi_data information. I also notice I get three values for each pad and cymbal.

Re: Phase Shift Roland TD-4 Mapping Issue
I don't know how much I can assist you, I use a Simmons kit and haven't had any real issues from day 1. Looking through my own Midi_Profiles.ini I can see the history of profiles I've made. It looks like it's set my custom to 0 before and then changed to 2. So I don't believe that your Channel is the issue.
Now, just so I know for sure, your drum brain is signaling that your hitting the pads, it's just not sending the signal to the game. Is this right?

Re: Phase Shift Roland TD-4 Mapping Issue
Use PsMidiProfiler from Phase Shift web Page. The only thing I did first was go to Phase Shift setting directory edit the midi_profiles.ini and remove everything and save it then go to PSMidiProfiler works like a charm.
