Hey
I'm getting lost everytime I play have to plat fast notes. I don't understand how am I supposed, or how anyone else can, to play such notes.
My brother is a professional guitar player (classical music tho), and even he says they're too fast to play.
Am I missing some key feature or a way to play these?
Is my gameplay incorrect?
This is the kind of notes I never manage to play:

It sucks, because most songs on Amazing have these kinds of notes

You forgot 3 things...
One: Practice.
Two: Practice too.
Three: Practice again :p
It come with the time, don't worry, and since FoF has nothing to do with real guitar (this is a rhythm game ^^), you're brother is wrong when he says that they're too fast to play: on the game you CAN play them.

Are you aware of hopos or are you trying to strum every note? Start with some of the easier difficulty levels to sharpen your skills and work your up. Also download a mod that has hyperspeed aswell, it'll help you see the the order of the notes more clearly. Practice helps aswell.

Ye I know they're Hopo's, I have been playing for quite some time now but these kinds of bits are too hard.
I use RF-Mod, which mods are good with Hyperspeed?
And thanks for the reply

Will it conflict with my current RF mod setup?
Can the two mods go along?

Ho/Po is short for Hammer On / Pull-off
A Note which is marked differently than usual is a Ho/Po-note.
This means that the note is tappable and doesn't require a strum/pick.
Thanks to Myfingershurt, Alarian mod has several options for the Ho/Po-
system:
*"None" = No tappable notes at all.
-Every note (or chord) requires a strum.
*"RF-Mod" = Original Ho/Po system from RF-Mod 4.15.
-The first note in a string of the same notes can NOT be tapped.
-The note before a chord can NOT be tapped.
-You can NOT strum a tappable note while holding a lower fret.
-You can NOT tap an incorrect fret in between Ho/Pos
-You CAN hold a higher fret and tap a lower fret
-You can NOT tap a note after a chord.
*"GH2 Strict" = Guitar Hero 2-like Ho/Po system with strict rules.
-The first note in a string of the same notes CAN be tapped.
-The note before a chord CAN be tapped.
-You CAN strum a tappable note while holding a lower fret.
-You can NOT tap an incorrect fret in between Ho/Pos
-You can NOT hold a higher fret and tap a lower fret
-You CAN tap a note after a chord (if the option is enabled)
*"GH2 Sloppy" = Guitar Hero 2-like Ho/Po system with sloppy rules.
-The first note in a string of the same notes CAN be tapped.
-The note before a chord CAN be tapped.
-You CAN strum a tappable note while holding a lower fret.
-You CAN tap an incorrect fret in between Ho/Pos
-You CAN hold a higher fret and tap a lower fret
-You CAN tap a note after a chord (if the option is enabled)
Basic premise: tappable note after chord
-You CAN pull off any other fingers from a 3-or-4-note chord to "tap" a Ho/Po.
-You CAN pull a finger off a higher fret from the chord to "tap" a Ho/Po.
-You CAN pull a finger off a lower fret from the chord to "tap" a Ho/Po.
From the HO/PO System Details.txt provided with the full release of Alarian.
And to answer to your prevent question: Alarian is the best mod based on UC Mod, itself based on RF Mod. So your RF Mod HO/PO system is obsolete :p And the 2 mods can't work along, because the 2 are stand-alones mods.

Bootvi wrote:So basicly all the Hopo's from FoF method are changed now. OK thats re learning the songs.
As a noob in playing Frets, is the Sloppy the best for me?
And one more thing, I don't like all the cosmetics/themes in Alarian, how can I make it _look_ like Vanilla FoF?
It's not a re-learn of all songs There are MORE ho/po (and even MORE MORE if you select More HO/PO instead of Normal :p). So it's easier to play (cause you just don't have to strum and just concentrate on frets buttons). Sloppy is good for people who want to hit HO/PO as the easiest as possible, maybe you'll like it...
And for make it look like Vanilla FoF, check Mod section to see if anyone has done it, or do it yourself (you just got to switch the images resized, not very hard to customize this mod).
