When i open everything turns big - cursor is huge and the screen turns red

as soon as i open the program after i installed it everything turned big such as my cursor, desktop icons, star menu button, and programs that were running. also, when i open the program it turns all red and it asks me if i want to close the prgram or try to keep running it. i tried to keep running it but it continues to stay red and nothing loads. after i close it, all of my icons turn back to normal size. (and i chose the smallest resolution on the installer). is it becuase i have vista that it isn't working. PLEASE HELP ME i can't even get to the fof menu!

try using a bigger resolution. it usually makes things big on the smaller ones. resolution measures how many pixels are on your screen 640x480=not alot so things will be bigger.

Fof version?
Any mods?
Graphics drivers up to date?
Desktop color quality set to 32bit?
Any firewall, anti virus software?
Any error messages coming up?
Anything in your log file?
