Re: FoFiX v3 Lags
Going Windowed does not help at all
EDIT: My CPU Gadget say 100% when in FOFIX v3 and v4
EDIT2: How Much Ram does this game need, because I have 2GB of ram in my laptop.

Re: FoFiX v3 Lags
Hi,
Months ago i played fofix on xp and it worked perfectly fine even with a very high detailed
rb2 theme on 1920x1080. now i decided to upgrade to win7 now it is all laggy even if
i use the megalight theme on 640x480. how is this possible? Can it has something to do
with win7 consuming more RAM??
Replys would be appreciated
best regards

Atacon, i know you want an answer but that doesnt mean you should post your problem in several other peoples posts. either do it in one relevant post, or start your own thread. You should not be multi posting the same question just to try and get an answer faster.

Re: FoFiX v3 Lags
How fast are your processor cores? If I remember correctly 3.x series is still single cored

Re: FoFiX v3 Lags
2.30 single core cpu? its not a software issue, that's really low for fofix, my only suggestion is to try Phase shift, it may be able to run on that... the best solution would be to get a dualcore processor though...

Re: FoFiX v3 Lags
Phase Shift DOES run smoother than FoFix with minimal graphics. Anyways, I don't have much RAM at all, and it doesn't use 100% of the CPU if I run Fofix. (you could try checking the process priority, you probably want it set to either High or Above Normal)
I'm not trying to be the pessimist, but I think that you may just want to explore your other options, as it seems that FoFix just doesn't want to agree with your computer.

high priority probably won't help much, that usually gains you 5 or so fps, maybe 10, but it wont fix a generally laggy fofix
if your still trying to get fofix working you can try a program called gamebooster
http://www.iobit.com/gamebooster.html
it does wonders for performance, may help with fofix, if it don't though, then Phase Shift is your best bet

512 MB.
(Don't laugh at my cruddy computer, I squeeze WONDERS out of it)
EDIT: I second the recommendation of GameBooster. It's quite amazing, and a really convenient game platform too.
When I run Fofix with GameBooster, I can run the Rock Band X theme in 1280x1024 resolution with in-game stats/stars activated (pretty much every visual effect except anti-aliasing and that stage EQ thing) and it never dips below 60 FPS. I don't recall it ever being that smooth before. :p
