Hello there!
Well, basically I'm playing with slow FPS since I've got FoFix, no matter what version I use.
I'm not getting more than 35-40 FPS with FOFIX 3.120, no matter the theme I use (Metallica, Rock Band 2, World Tour).
I ve configured every option I can, disabled Psycho, trying lowest resolutions, no AA... And still no improvements.
My system specs are:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600 3.1 Ghz
2 GB RAM DDR2 800 mhz
Nvidia G-Force 9600 GT 512 mb
I should really could play the game at the max resolution my monitor can handle (1600x900) without having this FPS.
Any sugestions?
Sorry for my bad english

Re: FPS are way below my system
I don't see how this is an issue.
The human eye can only view things at around 25-30 Frames Per Second. (Unless you're in Fight or Flight, where it can view things at upwards of 60FPS)
Anyway, try updating your drivers.

It really feels annoying to the eye actually, because it isnt feel "flowing"...
The drivers are up to date.
Last time, playing The Unforgiven with the Metallica theme, did get 19 fps
Dont know what to do

Re: FPS are way below my system
Well, multi-core processors are useless for this game because it didn't support them. This game only use one core. And this game has a memory leak too. But I got a triple core processors, why I can get 70-100 FPS? Check your configuration. In advanced mode, try finding something like Pysco and turn it off. In the game settings, not your computer settings.
IDK if this help.

Could you post your configuration? Like resolution, FPS limiter (I dont use this XD) sound settings?
Everything helps

Re: FPS are way below my system
Update your video drivers, make sure your audio ones are newest too. Go to task manager and make sure Fofix only runs on ONE core, not 2 or 4 (running on more than one core will actually lower your performance).
If that fails, try using an older version of Fofix (3.100 or so) since 3.120 is known to grant lower performance on some systems than previous versions.

Re: FPS are way below my system
i tried fofix 3.120 with python 2.6 & it was noticeably 'sticky'
so tried the python 2.4 version & it runs really nicely
-i assume you have tried both versions too but there was no specific mention of it, hence the post.
try it if you haven't

Re: FPS are way below my system
Well, now I can keep my FPS constant by downloading the py2.4 version (can anyone explain me the difference?)
I can keep my FPS in 60, by using 1600x900 resolution, no psycho, 2.4 version, AND the fretboard on a 200% speed.
I believe that was the solution, the speed of the fretboard.
Thank you everyone for your help

Pro tip: The Python 2.4 build/version has much better performance than the 2.6 one.

Re: FPS are way below my system
I believe the 2.4 version still has a memory leak in it however, so when you play heaps of songs in a row without restarting FoFiX, performance begins to drop, and can get worse than the 2.6 version.
That's easily fixed by quitting and going back into the game occasionally though
