RB2 theme solo + Star Power makes frets hard to see
I pretty much love the RB2 theme but the combination of star power and the blue glow of the solos makes the fretboard incredibly hard to see, what can I do in the options to fix this issue? Thanks in advance.

You can change the neck transparency in Display Settings > Fretboard Settings > Change Neck Transparency.
I set my Overlay setting to something like 50% and I have no problem seeing notes anymore.

This option is on not my game then... Maybe you don't have the same version
Re: RB2 theme solo + Star Power makes frets hard to see
The transparency -thing is in FoFiX 3.120 beta, you can DL it from here.
Re: RB2 theme solo + Star Power makes frets hard to see
But i want to keep my 3.100 version cause it got others options that i want to keep...
Isn't it possible at all to change it on the new version?

Re: RB2 theme solo + Star Power makes frets hard to see
I'm not sure what you mean.... you mean that you want FoFiX 3.100 with the ability to set neck transparency or... what?
Re: RB2 theme solo + Star Power makes frets hard to see
I mean that i don't want to redo all the settings i've put... allright i downloaded the archive patch pack what am i supposed to do with it?
Re: RB2 theme solo + Star Power makes frets hard to see
You unzip the contents of the patch to your current FoFiX -directory. Or you can create a copy of your current FoFiX -folder and unzip it there. That way if something goes wrong or you want to switch back to 3.100, you have a working version on your computer already and no need to reset your settings all over again.
Re: RB2 theme solo + Star Power makes frets hard to see
Well i guess i must be unlucky, i just did like you said. First i tried to extract it to my Frets on Fire directly and replace the old files by the new ones, the game didn't work after that (it says view fretsonfire.log blabla)
i deleted all, and tried this time to put the update in a separated folder, the game worked but the update didn't.
I tried with the installer too and it gave me the same problem.
But thank you for trying to helping me...

Oh yeah, you probably have to delete/move your fretsonfire.ini -file out of your FoFiX -folder and from Application Data/fretsonfire -folder(Start > Run > %appdata%/fretsonfire/). Then it should work.
Re: RB2 theme solo + Star Power makes frets hard to see
I deleted all the fretsonfire.ini i could find and updated and it still doesn't work
It says (in my fretsonfire.log)

Re: RB2 theme solo + Star Power makes frets hard to see
Which version did you try? Some people have had trouble installing python 2.4 -version, but 2.6 -version seems to work fine.
Re: RB2 theme solo + Star Power makes frets hard to see
I have tried both now, and still doesn't work.
Is there any way i can isolate the file which contains this option?
I mean it's maybe just a file in the whole update that crash all.

Re: RB2 theme solo + Star Power makes frets hard to see
Hmm I'm not sure if you can isolate the option like that... I can think of one other option: download a new FoFiX 3.100, unzip it somewhere and then unzip the update patch to that folder.
Hmm actually I remember solving the overdrive-neck problem by going to RB2-theme folder, removing the 'overdriveneck.png'. I then went to necks folder and chose a random neck, I think it was a plain grey neck.... anyway, I copied that neck to RB2-theme folder and renamed it to 'overdriveneck.png' and then it was much better to play when there was a solo and overdrive on at the same time.
