I'm having the same question.

The microsoft website nolonger has the drivers.

I tried downloading Xpadder to map my 360 RB2 "portable" drum kit (with USB cord).

Xpadder see's my drums, but I have not been able to do any "mapping" or "key mapping". A bit confused about that whole thing.

Sorry, I have searched these threads and tried for three nights! Can anyone please help?

Thanks!

Well, my MadCatz portable RB drumkit works just fine. I'm not sure if there's a difference between the portable RB and portable RB2. I tried it with my sisters laptop, but it didn't work. I was kind of worried until I took it home and plugged it into my desktop and the window "new device is installed and ready" or whatever it says.

I think it might have something to do with my Logitech controller drivers that I installed. The disk that came with it has some sort of Microsoft generic controller drivers.

O.K., Yeah!

I have the madcatz as well! And my computer does recognize my device and says it is ready to use, I just can't play any of the songs.

Maybe my problem isn't the controller, but mapping the controller.

How do you "map" a controller?

You have played Frets on Fire with your Madcatz right? What version of FoF do you use? I am using FoFiX 3.1.00

Thanks for your response and help!!!

---- EDIT ----

Hey THanks for the help!

I got it working.

Man! These madcatz really need you to beat the crap out of them!!!!

Later dude, off to jam some mastodon or something!

You shouldn't have to hit them that hard. For whatever reason, sometimes my hits don't register unless I use JoyToKey and bind my drum pads to keyboard keys. It works perfectly that way. In frets on fire I map my drum keys to some out of the way keys like the 1-5 on the numpad, and then in JoyToKey I set my drum pads 1-5 to the corresponding numpad keys.
