I've read about the sections in songs and how to input them, it was something like "solo_start" i think.
But my question is where do i input those text events?
Thanks for anyone's help.

Re: Sections and solo markers [help me?]
If you're using EOF, you can use the information in the following thread:
https://www.fretsonfire.org/cgi-bin/ikon ... 3;t=30297;
If you're not using EOF, you have to otherwise creation text events that say "section section name here", and how that is done depends on your chart/midi editor.

If you're using FeedBack, press "e" and type in solo_on for when it starts, and solo_off for when it ends.

Re: Sections and solo markers [help me?]
To start a solo, the section should be called
Guitar Solo
To stop a solo, the section can be called anything, as long as it doesn't have the word
solo
in it. :)

That method works, but I've never done my sections that way. What I do is hit r and type
in the section name I want.

Re: Sections and solo markers [help me?]
Just so you guys don't get confused, here is the complete information from my thread:
Section markers are implemented by text events beginning with the word "section".
Guitar solos can be marked with text events "solo_on" and "solo_off" ONLY IF you haven't defined any section markers. If you have section markers, you have to define a guitar solo by creating a section marker with the string "solo" in its name. The solo will end at the next section marker as long as it does not contain the string "solo" in its name.
Based on what the others have said, feedback allows you to create text events with the letter E and section markers with the letter R

Re: Sections and solo markers [help me?]
Thx guys but there's another prob. there's no "Event" in EOF when i choose the beats thingy...
EDIT : i figured i didnt have the latest version of EOF but now i got it , but it doesnt seem to work too well .. lol
Yet Another Edit: It works fine, and i followed your instructions, but there's another prob : the section markers are not in the same place i put them on EOF, like if i set a new section on 00:17 in FOF the section starts at 00:09
thx for any further help.

Re: Sections and solo markers [help me?]
It works well if you do it correctly. I do it correctly and it works exactly as it's supposed to.

It does. But the sections are not correctly placed like i placed them on EOF. like if i set a section to be on 00:17 on FOF it starts at 00:09
thx

You have to get the new version of Fofix, 3.0 BETA fixes the problem of the misplaced sections. Anything earlier shows it as the wrong time.

And I specifically mentioned that in my thread. Next time, styler93, you should read a little bit harder.
