I've noticed that when I play frets on fire that when I miss a note, that note is still played in the song, even on the imported guitar hero songs with two definite tracks. Is this the way the game was designed or is there a setting that I am missing that will make it play more like guitar hero and cut out the guitar track when I miss a note?

Do you have RF Mod 3 or above installed? It has a setting (Settings > RFMod Settings > Game Settings) called Miss Volume: X%. It's defaultly set at 50%, which is why you're still hearing the sounds when you miss a note. Set it to 0% if you want it to cut out like GH.
NOTE: It'll cut out the whole song when you miss if it's a custom song without a seperate guitar recording like GH.

Goodbye everyone. It's been fun. I spent many many hours here on these boards and playing/contributing to FoF. Today I uninstalled my game and deleted all my files. I just don't have the time or interest anymore. I won't be coming back here anymore. I might show up in the IRC from time to time to chat. I regret nothing.
So long, farewell.

i got it at 40% cuz i thought 30% was a bit too soft. but honestly, i like it when it cuts out guitar for guitar hero songs but if i set it to 0%, itll mute when i play custom songs. i suggested to RF to have a option for this
