Geometry/ Key Notes - Help!

I followed the instructions for the new key/notes for "Noob Edition" and did that and i opened up FOF Version 1.2.451 (if that matters) and go to game options turn on noob edition. After that i hit apply settings or w/e its called, i open up a song. and the notes are completely dark circles, they look like marbles. WTF is up with that and how can i fix it

The "Noob Edition" is for an older version of Frets on Fire. In the newest version, for whatever reason, the notes are displayed at a different angle, so you're seeing the bottom of the note model.

The reason they are that way is in the older version all the models were rotated before they were rendered to the screen (dunno why). In the latest version they took that stuff out (which is a good thing). but that means all the old stuff needs to be adjusted.

Ah. I knew there was a rotation difference between the two versions, but I wasn't sure why.
