How to convert RB3 DLC to FoF?

dont bother, its a long complicated proccess and its already being done.

No we don't teach people how to convert DLC content. some people have already converted content from various music games and supplied it. but they do not share ( and for good reason ) how its done. That content can be found in Tune Posting along with all the other songs

I don't understand the need to keep the process a secret. If you have more hands involved then you can convert the over 2000 songs rock band has much faster.

you dont understand why illegal methods of obtaining music would rather be kept out of the public eye?? errm, because if its found out RB will figure a way to counter it obviously.
Also....despite you wanting to help, the people that do the ripping are not asking for your assistance. They like to do it in their own time, remember its not a full time job, they have lives outside of music games as well.
The simple fact is, we do not discuss ripping methods on this site. If you wanna learn how its done go look it up on other sites, it IS talked about in a few places, just not here.

I also work a full time job if that was some attempted "slam" on me. With the help of a couple of nice people here, I've already started the process of converting some RB3 DLC no thanks to you. :)

No it wasnt a "slam " at you. i was simply pointing out people dont have all day to work on ripping stuff, so things dont tend to happen very fast..

NOBODY is allowed to talk about it openly.. so if anyone else had replied in this thread they would have said pretty much the same thing " no you wont find info here about it" But if it makes you feel better, you go ahead and think what you like. I wont loose sleep over it.

for the record "more" people working on a project doesn't always mean better, its harder to maintain quality and communication with bigger groups, keeping the groups small will maintain better quality.

I know you probably don't have the ability to think further ahead than whats in your brain at the time, so i will forgive you for that last stupid line.....

The argument regarding posting music/charts is done from a purely legal point of view.. Its illegal to post copyrighted music/ charts on this site.. So we dont.. We only post offsite links to music/charts, nothing is stored here... so we are staying (fairly) legal..

Posting the info about how to rip songs is done mostly from a "whats a stupid thing to do" angle. As it has been explained already... Posting the info on how to rip songs in a public place means Rockband will know how we go about ripping there stuff and will know exactly how to counter it and stop us. If we don't talk about it publicly then they don't know how we do it and cannot stop us as easy. Its also probably illegal to openly discuss how to reverse engineer a companies software to rip things from it.

So... Posting links to other sites that contain illegal stuff.. a little bit illegal ( a grey area) but not enough to draw attention to us.. Posting info on how to rip songs from a game.. very stupid and a quite a bit illegal and could get us into trouble as the info is stored on our forum..

Hopefully you now understand why we have a "tune posting" section but we dont have a " how to rip songs from music games" section.. If you still don't get it.. take it up with an admin, im sure they will be happy to explain it in simple terms for you.
