FoF Lagging like hell

so yeah i downloaded FoF after seein some youtube vid's about it and i extracted it (I downloaded the uhm compact file?) and I tried playin it
butt the thing is laggin like hell, from the menu itself i then increased the rate of frames per second to hundred to see if that would change anything but it did not change anything that I noticed :/
so help plz?

is it the program lagging, or just when you hit the keys to the song, cause if its just the song and what you hear, theres an option called a/v sync to mess with if not
i would check to see if you have the requirements to run the program. (start, run, dxdiag, ok) if you do, I would suggest tune-up utilities to maybe speed up your computer. http://download.tune-up.com/manuals/tun ... 011-en.pdf
If it still lags badly, I would say to try either an older version of fof. You can try downloading fofix, which could be a real help. And you can try something a little different but basically the same, Phase Shift. http://www.dwsk.co.uk/index_phase_shift.html
If you don't have the requirements, I could say that you can always load songs into games like rock band 2 for wii, guitar hero for pc, or guitar hero / rock band for xbox360.
