A few things that I can suggest :
-Check your graphics card driver, by Right clicking "My Computer" > Manage > Device Manager , and it will be in there. May need updating (can be done by right clicking).
-Check that your colour is set to 32-bit and not 16-bit, right clicking the desktop and going to Properties, then its the last tab that has the colour setting.
-I always close all other programs before playing FoF, purely so it's not humping the hell out of my CPU by running alot of programs. I suggest doing this, as it will make gameplay run slightly smoother in most cases. If you have an awesome CPU, then don't bother.
-Try to uninstall/reinstall the game. Sometimes this works.
Information such as :
-graphics card
-processor
-how much RAM
-OS
would have been more helpful in diagnosing the problem.

the windows error happened because you manually shut your computer off THAT had nothing to do with the game. what i mean is, the game didnt cause the windows error. shutting it down like that DID
What version of the game are you running? If its the Latest version V1.2.512 It is known to be buggy as hell and causes errors BUT we will be able to fix it for you no problem.. if its not that version DO NOT go and download V1.2.512.

Try and use the Alarian Mod. If it works with that, then you know it's the version of FoF you are using, or possibly a mod that you have installed. If it doesn't work, then you know it's a problem with your PC. Looking at your spec, I highly doubt it's your PC.

your forgetting a rather large chunk of usefull info here... If hes used 1.2.512 he cant use another version untill he removes the ini + log file form his Secondary fof folder. perhaps actually telling him how to do that would have been more usefull that just saying use a different version. Coz you basically cant use a different version after 1.2.512 UNTILL you remove those files.
@spartanic if it is because of 1.2.512 then read the sticky message in this very tech support area entitled " READ THIS BEFORE POSTING" right at the top it tells you how to fix this problem...

Since he never replied anyway, I'm sure his problem just dissolved. Or maybe he blew up. Either way, it's most likely that he had the bugged version, and yes I should have told him to remove that stuff, but I take it for granted that when most people uninstall stuff, they go to their Program Files and delete any existing trace of that folder. I assume too much I guess.
