I have used "the Google" and searched the forums already and couldn't find anything on this. I realize Ubuntu users (and any other Linux distro, I'm sure) are an extreme minority here so I hope someone can help me out. This place was a HUGE help to me in even getting it installed in the first place, so thanks!
Ever since I first installed FOF earlier today, Pidgin stopped responding and hasn't worked since. I've restarted several times and also uninstalled/reinstalled Pidgin. Still no go. I'm a recent convert from Windows, only been using Ubuntu for a few weeks so hopefully this isn't due to anything noobish I did.
I have a separate issue with the game itself, but I'll save that one for tomorrow. Can't go without my messenger though!
If it helps at all, I installed version 1.2.451 from the terminal using sudo apt-get, then downloaded Alarian 2.955 from evilynux. Haven't installed any of the patches yet as...well, I haven't exactly figured out what I'm supposed to do with them yet.
Ubuntu user - any known issues with Pidgin? - after installing FOF w/ Alarian?
