i just got FoF and i love the way it works. the built in song editor is VERY helpful, unlike guitar zero which i tried before FoF. i just have one question. how do i add the songs to the program? i know it has to be in .ogg, which is no big deal, i have audacity. but i'm confused on how to add the tabs and the notes. i have NO idea how to play these songs to add them myself. is there any way a program can pull out the tabs for me or something?

Q: How do I add songs into FoF?

A: Download a track, this will usually be in *.rar format
Extract the *.rar file, and almost always, the files song.ogg, guitar.ogg, song.ini and notes.mid will be in a folder. If this is not the case then put them in a folder.
Place this folder inside the FretsOnFire/data/songs/ folder and your song will now appear in your song list.

Rule #6: No asking questions that are on the boards FAQ!
Violation of this rule results in a raise in warning level.

As a new member, your first steps should be to read the forum rules, the FAQs and Stickies in each section of the forum and most of it: use Search!! Searching is your best bet, read the search page correctly and you will learn some tips on 'how to search better'. If you would have looked a bit better you would have seen that most questions are already answered. Searching will then avoid useless/repetitive posts (which is great for us) but will also save you answer-waiting time (which is great for you).
Rule #7: No whining that your warning level was raised!
Violation of this rule results in an immediate ban.

We both know you don't want this to happen. You are allowed 4 raises before posting privilege is removed to you. Next time read the rules
There are also many other posts explaining how to 'create' new songs. Search for tutorials. You can also browse our nice wiki

Did you know they invented a thing on the side of your screen called a scrollbar? You can use it to browse down pages that are actually too long to show entirely. Give a try at this awesome tool on the wiki site, and scroll down the page, right under the 'Creating songs' header, there are links to pages that will show you how to...create songs.

dude i was on the wiki for a while yesterday, looking for this. the only thing i found was an archive of uploaded songs, which i took advantage of. i downloaded lots of songs for FoF. if its there, give me a link because i cant find it and these forums are supposed to HELP people. right now, you're just being a jerk and not doing much helping. please do not raise my warning level because as far as i know i didnt do anything wrong and i'm just a bit annoyed.

There are several tutorials here and on the wiki, I already gave you a link and even told you how find it on the page. If you won't read what I'm writing to you. You won't be able to read how to create songs.
