Green Day Rock Band Demo hints at Keyboards for Rock Band 3

Stumbled across the Demo for Green Day Rock Band on Xbox Live this morning, naturally, I shat myself. But the kicker is this: Apparently, as you exit, there is a teaser image for Rock Band 3, with the usual instrument icons, except this time, there is a Keyboard icon.

I'm downloading the demo myself for obvious reasons, so I haven't seen it personally. I've got to say, I'm curious -- albeit, wary -- to see how this plays out. On the one hand, people have wanted this for a long time, on the other it seems... like it could be clutter? I don't know. I'll wait until the game to decide, but still, bad ass all the same.

Who wants to bet that even though GH6 will supposedly have Bohemian Rhapsody, Rock Band 3 will have it, and it be better?

would be fun I guess? I don't know how you would make a music peripheral out of it since you could play the exact same thing the actual keyboard player is playing but we'll see.

I disagree because drum kits can have so much variety in them... Keyboards are just keys, with one or two pedals at most. Otherwise they are all the same.

What about the 1,000+ song back catalog? I really doubt HMX will go back and add keyboards, or Harmonies, for that matter. Screen Real-Estate? It's already a little cramped for a four-player band.

I just need to wait until E3, ha ha.

For the back catalog... Take some of the best keyboard- or harmony-worthy songs, add the instruments, and release them as RB3-specific DLC. And perhaps later on, a track pack disc.
Screen real estate... Who knows? We will have to wait for E3 I guess. GH5 "got away" with 4 lanes at once...
We still don't even know how keyboard would work, yet. That's the part I'm most interested in.
