I'm a huge Muse fan, my favourite band by far. But I just don't like the concept of a game about 1 band in general. And I don't think that Muse is famous enough to take the risk for making a game about them.

Just wanted to add my two and half cents to the motorhear/DT/Rush thing.

There is a difference in the mythical halls of the rock gods between Motorhead and DT/Rush. The difference is basically that while yes I would consider the members of DT/Rush to be far more experts in instrumental technique than Motorhead, they haven't been more influential to music than Motorhead. This isn't measured in record sales, awards, or even fan base. It's measured by the number of subsequent bands that list your band as one that changed music for them, or even for a genre. While Motorhead didn't necessarily change a genre they are listed in interviews and in liner notes of more bands as an influence than you can shake a stick at. The same just isn't true of DT/Rush.

Someone also challenged how the Pixies could be better than Muse. While I don't know that they are, the Pixies, much like Motorhead hold a special place in the mythical halls of the rock gods. They are listed by countless acts as a major influence, they have a record that not only helped redefine their genre, but it helped spark the mind of the last man to have reshaped music in a major way. While Muse hasn't...yet...I guess time will tell.

i honestly think belahmy got gypped in guitar hero 5 anyways. the other two cameos are dead, and in my opinion, far worse than matt, yet matt only got one song. and that one song was plug in baby. it doesn't make sense to me.

if the companies and muse can get together and do this, i think it'd be a good thing on many levels

I don't really like muse... They're one of those bands that melds a somewhat obscure genre with Alt-Rock, get famous, then slowly start drifting away from that obscure genre and going more and more towards the Alt-Rock side until it really just is Alt-Rock. :\

To tell the truth, Radiohead probably wouldn't be in Rock Band if it wasn't for EMI. Because Thom Yorke said in an interview he doesn't want his music associated with other things such as cars so he wouldn't let his music be used for a car advert. The interview was before the 'Rhythm Game boom' though and maybe he's changed his mind. But seeing as though people now know Radiohead as 'the depressing band off of Rock Band' that's the sort of thing Yorke wanted to avoid. That being said they chose the two best Radiohead songs for the game. And in my opinion there's always FoF for songs that aren't and probably will not be in Rock Band/Guitar Hero.
