Hi!
I have this problem: I use GHWT on a pc with Vista.
If I use the keyboard, everything's ok; if I try to launch the game with my guitar connected (Rock guitar II for PS2 + Dragon plus converter) the pc returns immediately a crash.
In the control panel, the controller is regularly recognized...
I also tried on a pc with XP and everything is ok, the guitar's recognized as an original controller, unfortunately the pc is a Pentium4 and it's too "weak" in supporting the playing scenes....
Does anybody have any ideas? (I apologize for my english... I'm Italian)

Ok, so i haven't read the forum rules and registered only to post solution to the above problem.
If your Guitar Hero World Tour starts normally when you don't have your wireless guitar connected but crashes if you try to start it when it is connected or crashes during the game when you connect it that probably means that you run 64bit version of your operating system. Since guys at Aspyr are lazy enough not even to test it here's the solution:
1. edited
2. Try to run the game with the crack, if the game does not run (it probably won't) continue reading.
3. Download Hex editor if you dont have one installed.
I suggest Hex Workshop from http://www.bpsoft.com/
4. Open the crack (GHWT.exe) with hex editor and find the following Hex string:
"9C A2 00 51 FF 15 30 33 A0 00 83 C4 0C 85 C0 74 1A"
5. Replace the last byle with 4E so it looks like this:
"9C A2 00 51 FF 15 30 33 A0 00 83 C4 0C 85 C0 74 4E"
6. Save the file and try to run the game. If it works try to find a way to make jack microphone work in return :)

Re: GHWT PC
Ok, so I recently downloaded this, and I have my rockband 2 drum set with cymbals attached. It lets me use orange when I play, but if I hit my yellow cymbal it hits yellow and orange in game, my orange cymbal hits orange and green. Anyway to fix this?

It shouldn't be letting you use orange in-game
What system are your drums for?

Ok, oh, and I meant my green cymbal instead of orange. I am using my rockband 2 drums from my xbox 360, I have a wireless adapter. And even after I removed the cymbals, it still wants me to use 5 drums...

No, I only had my drums plugged in. I tried 2 players with a guitar and it did the same thing.
Re: GHWT PC
THERE IS A WAY TO PLAY WITH ANY MICROPHONE! (even classic analogue ones)
Just rename your mic to 'Logitech USB Microphone'
In Vista- Control Panel->Sound->Recording Tab
Double-click your microphone and then change its name.
I don't know how to do it in XP.
But you can't use keyboard as guitar after that :(

Re: GHWT PC
qba767's workaround is indeed effective (second testimony, anyway) and indeed locks out the keyboard (but it accepts input for menu navigation).
Now if only there was a way that made the game think the keyboard was a guitar controller plugged in so one could access the guitar/bass tutorials... >_>

Same problem here, RockBand 2 drums, XBOX360 Wireless adapter. Waiting for a patch
