GuitarFun - FoF-Clone homebrew

Postby frodo2006 » Mon Jul 07, 2008 11:35 am

Update:
Guitarfun 3.5 wii
Guitarfun 3.5 Pc
Guitarfun source code

=====================================

Hi, I just stumbled upon this:

Guitarfun 2.7 for Wii (spanish site)

Image

Seems to be a clone of FoF that runs on unmodded wii through the homebrew channel. Uses normal FoF-song format.
It has support for Wii Guitars**, Wii-Remote & Nunchuck, PC-Keyboards and even wired PS2-Guitras through a PS2-GC adapter.

Watch on Youtube
Download includes english manual: guitarfun_2.7_wii.rar **UPDATE JULY 09**

**EDIT: For Guitar Hero 3 Wii Controller you have to unplug the Wiimote and plug it in again (while the program runs), then it works.

WARNING: This is an early beta version, so don't await to much. Syncing is terrible in this build.

It's not only for Wii, it exists for PC and PS2 too.

Not such a big deal, USB-keyboards can be plugged to the wii for quite a while, very handy when using the opera browser..not used in any official game as of yet.

Why did no one tell me this earlier :O .

Can I play GH3 with my keyboard too? I could finally pass RaBl.

Whats the 'homebrew channel'?
Do I have to mod my wii for this to show up? (not doing any modding to my wii)

Lets get some reviews in here soon! :)
I'm stuck at work and need to hear some reviews on this thing...

the homebrew channel does not require any modding but it does require that you have a copy of Zelda Twilight Princess which sadly i dont. :(

I have it, I guess I will have to do some research... (unless anyone has any quick links for me to find out what this is about)
