I'm not saying they did any actual coding or anything, I'm saying since Harmonix was asked to help them, they probably told them how they wanted everything(not how it was coded. Like "We want this game like Guitar Freaks!, except we want 5 lanes, and a 3D perspective, etc.", know what I mean?

It's like a client commissioning someone to help design a website, and having a lot of ideas about how everything should be done. Even though the client does 0% of the physical side of things, they still give the designer all the ideas they need to be working towards(and it's ultimately their website since they funded it).

T3HM3T4L:I've tried to sign up for Rock Band but they just won't allow me. They keep complaining I have to 'be over 18' while I've already been 18 for over half a year, and a sign up where I noted I was born in the '50s STILL GAVE ME THAT MESSAGE

So if anyone could help me get these templates, I'd very much appreciate it. I need it to edit notes and stuff for my Rock Band 2.

aander91:Sorry, but that'd be providing for minors, which is illegal.

T3HM3T4L:But I'm 18 years old... ?

aander91:Nope. Sorry.

T3HM3T4L:Nono, you're getting me wrong, I was asking how come I am still considered a minor?

aander91:Look, we can't just go out giving these things away to people who just say they're over 18 and show no proof, we'd be out of a job.

T3HM3T4L:Nevermind, I'll use EoF for it, I found the way I could use it for that.

no. when HMX finally split with RO/Activision RO came out with like 100 statements saying what they actually did, and really all they ever did was propose the general idea. Things like the rock meter or HO/POs were all HMX

I'm definitely going to get RB3 first, but I'll probably eventually get both.
The signature you're trying to reach is dead unavailable at this moment. Please call back at a different time.

Spoiler:It's really dead. Sorry.

No, it's not. It has no strings, fake pickups, and no vibrato ("whammy") bar (which comes standard on a real squire FYI).

Without the vibrato bar, you could still play, but your string bend will be limited, not too big of a deal.
Without real pickups, you can still play, but when through an amp it's gonna sound like sh!t.
Without strings, it's not a real guitar, you're just pressing buttons that emulate a guitar sound. No strings means no techniques like muting, sweeping, string bending, grinds ect... This is what makes it a fake guitar.

Are you talking about the Strat, or the Mustang?

If it's the Strat, then last time I checked it had strings:

The hell?! I haven't seen that guitar. I thought the Fender was the same as this one, just a squire instead. If that's real then never mind what I said lol.

The Mustang has no strings. The Stratocaster is a real guitar.

EDIT: Ninja'd, so forget everything i just said. *FNORD*.

@Up: Wat? I thik you're talking about the MadCatz Mustang. The Squier Stratocaster is a functionable guitar you can plug in to an amp and play.
-It has no floating bridge, but you don't always need it (Paul Gilbert, anyone?). Unless you're talking about a change in game mechanics.
I don't really follow the RB3 news, but there is a chance that pro guitar may be just a tab playing game, without SP etc, (but I don't really think it's likely to happen, they'll probably yhink of something).
-Ypu can play it on an amp, so pickups must be real (unless it's the "crap quality = not real guitar, just a pricey wall decoration" attidude that looks like many guitarists share.
-Buttons? You really must be talking about Mustang, then. Squier has normal strings...

[EDIT]
Lol, double ninja'd... :cursing:

Yeah, I hadn't seen the squire before. I thought it was the same exact thing as the Mustang, but just on a squire.

It is basically tab, but in a 3D view:

It uses a single MIDI Pickup, so it might sound a bit like ass(but it's developed by both Fender themselves and Harmonix so maybe not)

Pwned both of you :).

It sounds great

having ONE pickup doesn't change sound quality.

and yes I heard it at the E3 demo
