I have GH WT and i think one of the best songs is pull me under by dream theater.

ROCK BAND IS SUCH A COPYCAT

-Guitar gameplay
-Harmonix a traitor
-Multiplayer gameplay
-Star Power as Overdrive

GUITAR HERO IS SUCH A COPYCAT

-Drum gameplay(except the fifth drum)
-Vocal gameplay(except the voice type pitching)

Now the problem is this. Rockband stayed stale with five notes and same old gameplay, and a karaoke style vocal pattern(same is said about the vocals in world tour)
Guitar hero went to the next level and added extened sustains on guitar, open strum on bass, and 6 notes on bass and drums. they did not copy each other, they went in different directions.

I think neversoft and harmonix go to each other for song ideas. World tour and Rock band 2 have similar songs in them( Livin' on a prayerand ramblin' man to name a couple). And when GH metallica is released it is rumored to have a expert+ difficulty. I have no problems with both games, but i lean towards guitar hero for more of a challenge. Rock band is not bad but it could be better

* @away_xbox straps 15 sticks of TNT to Amak11's body. The display reads [58] seconds.
<@away_xbox> Diffuse the timer by cutting the correct wire. There are 14 wires. They are Green White Peenus Indigo Black Gold Grey Brown Violet Turquoise Teal Magenta Mauve and Yellow.
<Amak11> oh really
<Belisario93> hmm
<Amak11> !cutwire Peenus
<@away_xbox> ...snip....
<@away_xbox> Amak11 cut the Peenus wire. This has defused the timer on the TNT! Just try and get it off you without setting it off, ok?

Expert+ is just for drums I think. And you need to use GHWT drums, so there goes that idea.

I don't know where you got the idea that GHWT was a challenging game but it really isn't, especially if you are playing drums

Blah, vocals are ridiculously hard for me (and I can do some RB songs on Expert vocals!) in GHWT, and I've failed a couple of the drum songs in it too (on an RB kit). So it ain't a walk in the park.

well they could do a expert + for guitar that would be like guitar hero 3 with a lot more overfret

Actually, what they can do is make it so Expert+ has the extended sustains and tapping, when Expert doesn't.

tapping sections make it easier though

Unless you mean that expert wouldn't chart tapping at all

Harmonix spent much less on advertising than Activision did. also, think about the new features from Rock Band 1 to Rock Band 2, compared to GH3 and GH:WT.

Just so you know, Harmonix/MTV didn't spend a dime on RB1,

Are you serious? have you tried anything by ES? that song is so complicated, and the fact that rock band 2 was just trying to get excuses to make hard songs, like visions. the drums arn't even real. not the hardest either but still wtf? How many bands are out there that can be even heavier than them and the drums are real in the band? Anyways GH:M is supposed to have double bass, just think of the boom all the song fc'ers are going to have when people are trying to fc dyers eve and missing a note. = D

And if Guitar hero greatest hits has six, that would have to be the hardest drum song with double bass. unless rock band 2 pulls out some 1349 drums, \m/(o,0)\m/

MOST people likes GH better cuz its the original and it have been here for years and RB is newer. IMO RB is so much better. Better songs, better template, looks better, better notes, better online, better tour...

Rock Band already has Six as dlc, I think. Anyways, the drums of Visions are real, you're just jealous. Also Rock Band 2 actually has harder songs than GH:WT. Examples: Battery, Bodhissatva(the wall of chords), Panic Attack, Painkiller, etc.

RB doesn't have Six as DLC but it does have 3 other songs from that band.

I don't exactly call rock band 2 flat out harder, one reason is because the hit window is retarded, its kinda stupid. i meen its awesome for drums, but guitar, really? you would think that they would add a fret before they make the hit window like that. Its like you can honestly tell that all it is is just trying to make everything harder. thats the last thing they should do.

I don't really care anyways, im getting the drum pack for rock bizzle 2 because i can't stand the guitar. ghwt has the potential to be good, but all the songs they have is just balls. rock band 2 is sick on drums, and balls on guitar. ghwt is just balls.

I wonder if rock band 3 will have double bass?
