He's not misinformed, you're an idiot. If they were separate albums, then why would they put two albums on the same disc when the Compact Disc version was released? And if a band were to do that, don't you think they'd make it extremely apparent so as to use it as a selling point?

They weren't actually 2 albums (by todays standards anyways), that's just how they were referred to back then. I'm not saying I agree with it or anything, that's why I put the italicized technically in my post, it's just what it was.

they weren't referred to as separate albums they are called TWO SIDES of ONE album
"did you hear that new record?"
"Oh yeah 2112-a!"
"No I'm talking about the OTHER record idiot, 2112-b"
It was one album

Cool, now you're contradicting yourself.

No, I think your both missing the point of what I'm trying to say.
In the video they say the album of 2112 will be on GHWOR, but it really wont be.
I'm saying I guess "technically" it is since thats how it WAS refered to back then. (If you think it was side a and side b back then your a dumb@ss. How things are now isnt how theyve been forever.
I'm not saying I agree theyre 2 seperate albums, just that since thats how they were refered to its a feasible explanation of why Geddy says the whole album will be on there.

Or maybe musicians have just had a historically inaccurate way of articulating things related to these rhythm games?
He said album, most likely meant song, you guys are blowing this so far out of proportion... it's hilarious.

According to Wikipedia:
In 1948, Columbia produced the first 12-inch, 33⅓-RPM microgroove record made of vinyl. With a running time of 23 minutes per side, these new records contained as much music as the old-style album of records and, thus, took on the name "album". For many years, the standard industry format for popular music was an album of twelve songs, originally the number related to payment of composer royalties.
1948 vinyl with 23min. per side took on the name "album", "2112" was released in '76.
Similar to what Lys' said, I think they just weren't thinking about the difference between the "song(s)" and "album"(they have the same name, so it'd be an honest mistake).

You would think of them as side a and b back then. That's literally how they were labeled. Look at the back of any record sleeve. It says "Side A" -track list- "Side B" -track list-
they were always called sides they were never called separate albums. here's a crazy idea: geddy was misinformed. It's not like a musician has ever been misinformed about their music and how it will be presented in a video game before.

I agree. Such an amazing journey through their diverse discography. I liked how the included the entire Tommy album as a movie experience of a song! That was crazy.

A Change Of Seasons would be very fun.
Anyway, It's not the whole 2112 ALBUM on GH6, It's the whole 2112 song/suite.

No, no. You're missing the point Vedi.
It's just the SONG. Not the album.
Just the song.
Btw, it's not the album.
