@Maze2234:
This is already added: To change the colors of normal notes, change note_color_x, to change the color of hopo notes, change tap_color_x.

@wembley1967:
you're welcome :)

@acrox999:
This is not easy to fix and since this lag is almost unnoticeable to me, it's not really a top priority bug right now.

Sorry for the double post, but if I don't bump this it will go unnoticed and I don't want to start an own thread for it. :p
I tried to improve the graphics somewhat, since everybody complains about SoS's ugliness.

Here is the result:
Image

You can download the files here. To install just copy all the files in the zip into the SoS data folder.

Notes:
- The models for the keys and notes originally are from FozZ.
- I did not include the hitglowanimation that you can see in the screenshot since I don't know who made it and if it is copyrighted.
- If you play in a resolution other than 1600x1200 the background image will look a bit grainy, because the image is not resized properly. This will be fixed in the next release of SoS. Until then you can either change the size of the image yourself or change your resolution to 1600x1200. :;):

What about it? I'm not forcing anyone to use my graphics mod. :;):
And yes, something like a hopo.dae sounds like a good idea.

@blackfriday:
I don't have access to a Mac so unless someone else does it, no. (I think I answered this question several times before, maybe I should start my own FAQ :p )

@MitchellX:
There's a link to a multiplayer guide in my first post. Lots of people in this thread have already played in multiplayer, and someone actually posted a video of it, so I don't know what kind of proof you need in addition to that.

This game rules!
But I have some problems with it:
- if you strum HOPO note while playing streak, it's counted as a miss. (Maybe, there's way to ignore strum in HOPO note hitwindow)
- tap notes look like normal in 0.5 (changes in theme.xml syntax?)
- too slow neckspeed on some songs.
- this HOPO system is really good but I wish to have RF-mod HOPO system (optional).
- if you don't select song and click play game crashes
Thanks a lot!

hey bowzerk i know you are busy and all but i think something that would make this game look better graphic wise is a rounded end on the tails. i dont know how easy that would be or if it is even a near possibility it was just a thought idk.

Yes i saw the video before i posted it.. i played it single player.. just was confused on how it worked.. if i am doing it right nobody is on... if i was to find a person on (via-connection to server) would i have to have my port # inserted\right inorder to join..? is there like a certian time that u know of that lots of people play on that time (like a guild)
??
thanks for helping though..

- Someone else also complained about the HOPO-strumming problem. I have this on my TODO list.
- I'm not sure what you mean with "tap notes look like normaly"? They did look different from normal notes when I just tested it here.
- the neckspeed problem is also somewhere on the TODO list; not sure yet how to fix this.
- I have to admit I never played RF-mod until now =/
- Thanks for that bug report. I just fixed it (don't know how I never noticed this).

@ADH:
I tried to do this before, but I had some problem with the 3d engine I am using. I was trying to use transparent rounded textures for the tail ends but that lead to ugly flickering and I haven't figured out the cause for this yet. If i ever find out whats wrong, I will add this.

@MitchellX:
I see. There really are only a few players, so most likely nobody was on when you tried. The only way to play in multiplayer right now is to play with someone you know already and with whom you can arrange a game for a specific time (or play on LAN). :(

Bowzerk, I just discovered Apple has a Guide to porting Windows C++.
See my thread at fansonfire and SoS for details (or less) :p

EDIT: Bowzerk, what version of the irrlcht engine are you using?

- In SoS HOPO system the note after long note (with tail) become HOPO. I think it should be normal note and require strum. If note has no tail, next note should be HOPO, if it's sufficiently close.

Can you give me sources of SoS? I'm working on the similar project.

@arfn24:
I'm using version 1.4.1. Good luck with your Mac port. :)

@fenolftalein:
The source code is available on the the project homepage on sourceforge.
