No, port it to Mac.
I think the "errors" are because it's using stuff that comes with windows but not with Macs.
There must be something like them.
I'll get it working.

Oh. Well just to let you know Xcode is not a very good compiler for mac..

The c++ plugin for Eclipse or just the command line compiler would work better

What if I want to make it for non-jailbroken iPhones later?

Make Strings on Speed for iphone?
That could take an exetremly long time because youd have to recode the whole thing to work with the iphone SDK. But you look like you have a lot of determination in you

It'd be extremely simplified.
I'd get rid of settings for example.
But most I want it for Mac...

Any chance of getting that on Mac. I'll check it out when I'm on my CPU (on my iPod right now) I might be able to install it using Wine.

If you are getting errors about IGUI, you probably don't have the Irrlicht SDK installed. Download the "Irrlicht SDK 1.4.1 for Mac OS" here.

There should be a readme.txt in the zip file containing the source files, where it says what libraries you need to compile SoS.

Anyway, apart from the Irrlicht SDK, you also need FmodEx and libjdkmidi (you have to compile it yourself with the included xcode build file).

If you install and link these three libraries most of the build errors will disappear. However, it will still not be possible to directly compile the code since some of the functions we use (for example for multithreading) only work under Windows.

To sum it up, I believe SoS could be compiled for Mac, but it's a bit more complicated than just using the current (Windows) source code and compiling it on a Mac.

That's as much help as I can give you guys, since I have never used a Mac (or any Apple product) myself. :p

The mascot/icon should be called stringie, (based off towlie) a string addicted to amphetamines.

I don't know exactly if this is a bug or if I didn't read it but...

I can't change my key settings, they're all greyed out and when I press 'set' the box just closes.

and...
is there any hamachi server for this beauty?
