Would you believe this is the one feature I miss most in the commercial games? The little things matter.

yea im the same, one of those things that we really needed but never had the time with so many larger issues to tackle all at the same time, but now most of the major features are in place we can start looking at the smaller tweaks again

amak11 wrote:In hopes that i dont get called a hypocrite. I am looking forward for your next release. i also like the menu music feature. Im curious, how would it handle a multitrack song from GH or RB?

i don't think the rant was specifically due to any one comment at the time, hes got a baby due in a week so hes got other issues on his mind, under a lot of pressure and any negative posts weren't going to help, i'd rather forgot the whole thing

and multitrack songs should work fine, might take half a second longer loading but should work fine

Yeah Dave congrats!!!!!!!

I have a suggestion for online play. Instead if scanning, why don't you allow the option of P2P so 1 person can DL a song from another? Scan first, then if they don't have that particular song, offer that.

I believe that people were worried about the legal implications when I suggested that. Although I believe it would be pretty safe, since there would be no third party in the middle (ie. with torrents). In a completely one-to-one p2p situation, it would be impossible to police, especially if the program uses an encrypted transfer method, like sending the files through an SSL connection.

Yeah I mean its possble but the risk may be too high. I mean what about the chart and INI, they could get there own audio file.

Hey fatdog, nice to see you coding with this kind of success, and indeed for a reason - I tested this game for the first time now, and oh god it's smooooth. haven't seen anything like that since the GZ2 betas. I've always run a low-end machine so smooth gameplay has always been a criteria that I look first. I don't have any instruments anymore, but I'm still trying to keep up with the news in this scene in order to find a proper alternative for singing rock band songs. That's why I'm interested in hearing if you're planning to add vocal support for phase shift. Is this on your to-do list? If not, how interested are you to implement that feature in the following progression? I see too few third-party games that support vocal tracks from Rock Band and Guitar Hero .mid files. I'm sorry if discussion of vocals are somewhere in this thread, I'm asking this now with less than usual self-research.

Code: Select all

<@away_xbox> Looks like it's your lucky day Amak11 >:) Since i don't see Amak here ill choose somebody else....
* @away_xbox straps 15 sticks of TNT to Amak11's body. The display reads [58] seconds.
<@away_xbox> Diffuse the timer by cutting the correct wire. There are 14 wires. They are Green White Peenus Indigo Black Gold Grey Brown Violet Turquoise Teal Magenta Mauve and Yellow.
<Amak11> oh really
<Belisario93> hmm
<Amak11> !cutwire Peenus
<@away_xbox> ...snip....
<@away_xbox> Amak11 cut the Peenus wire. This has defused the timer on the TNT! Just try and get it off you without setting it off, ok?
