So let me get this: Daft Punk take a 15 sample off a song, loop it, rework it, remix it, add vocals, change the structure, change the BPM, add new instruments, add vocals, somehow mix it all together in a continuous concept album and somehow it's still the same song and, more than that, "stealing", although royalties are being paid to the original artist? If you can't tell that "Cola Bottle Baby" and "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" are two very distinct songs, then I think something is wrong with your brain.

Also, there is much more to Daft Punk than Discovery, although it is undeniably my favorite Daft Punk album, and I think that reducing a band that was pretty much revolutionary to a simple DJ is insulting and makes little sense. Can you really argue that Daft Punk has had no impact or that they have no original material? I mean, Daft Punk gets **** all the time because they used a lot of samples on Discovery, that is pretty much their masterpiece, but damn, pretty much everyone else did it and it was never an issue. Sampling has been around since the 80's, and although legally it has always been a grey area, you can't really claim that it hasn't become a standard, especially with Electronic and Hip-Hop in general. I think that someone that fails to see that a remix or reworking of a song can make it completely distinct from the original, and in some cases, even enhance it, has a very closed musical mentality. And Daft Punk makes much more than this.

So anyways, DJ Hero seems like a potentially fun game. I can't stand rap music, because you listen to the same beat for 5 minutes with someone "singing" very fast in a monotone voice. I'd rather play something that has more features or things that I like in it than features or things that I hate. It would be one of those games that I 'd rent if I could, and not buy. I already know one of my friends is going to buy it it, so I'll play it at my friend's place.
