This thread seriously needs a bump. :p
Beta v.0.4 is available here.
Changes:
-source code can now be compiled under Linux
-added support for left-handed gameplay
-custom notes and keys can be added to the game (data\key.dae; data
ote.dae)
Note1: most models available for FoF don't work in SoS atm. Try these if you want to see a model that works: link link (These models are from FozZ, originally posted here)
Note2: if the models flicker, open the .dae files with a text editor and change all lines where it says

I have two questions...
First...are the strings supposed to stay even if you replace the keys? The keys and the notes were replaced but the strings are still there.
Something I have noticed is that the volume cuts out even when you don't miss a note.If you're not pressing a fret you get no volume. Is there some way around this?
I don't mind getting spanked when I miss a note but having to hold down the last fret you pressed during a break in the guitar (such as in "Won't Get Fooled Again")
is a pain in the rear.
Thanks for a fine program.

You should add board speed by BPM and hopo, or board speed by difficulty, both are quite annoying
Yeah... some of the songs I play go REAAALLY slow :p
Thanks so much!!! Do you think you could add a note color changing option? Like in FoF, you can change the code to change the note color. Can you do that in SoS?

Maze,
I just downloaded the mod and I'm checking it out now.Thanks.
Edit:
You did a fantastic job on this mod.I was expecting an improvement but you practically gave it an overhaul.
It turned out brilliant.
Thanks again.
