PSN and Xbox Live Gamertag profile fields

I did this with my forum aand I thought this would be pretty nifty to have here (MOST other forums I've seen have done this as well). Basically, admins, you would add 2 more fields to peoples profiles. So it would be like:


PSN:
XBox Live:


With descriptions being:


PlayStation 3 Id's
Xbox Live Gamertags


These would show up in PMs and forums posts/threads etc.



I think it would be easier than bumping a thread all the time and easier to connect with other players around the globe to game with. Thoughts?

I actually wouldn't mind seeing this.

Though there are other spaces you could utilize. The text that sits above your avatar for example.

Anyway, its a frill. But not the worst I suppose.

I already thought of this as well.
Think of this example:
Ur watching some nice topics from here. And you see a guy that seems cool...
Instead of PM him about it and all other things, just look under his avatar (or above).
Much easier =D

It also would be cool if the Off-Topic section add one of the Top topics about this...
One that everyone could edit it and it was always updated by everyone! (just like the Wiki) (and also a way of organizing them alphabetically)

They had post that was getting updated but then they stopped and it was getting bumped at random points so if they added these 2 new fields it would eliminate the need for people to edit when they could just update their profile like everything else.

On an unrelated note, £20 on Raptor being the first person to disapprove it.

Don't see why. It's not like he specifically targets him. If raptor thinks it's bullsht, he'll call it. This isn't a bad idea so I'd be surprised.

And a Steam field. But now this is cramped. Maybe we could add a button like we currently have that shows gamertags when you mouse over? Or maybe they could be exclusive to that person's profile page.

Since I'm supposed to disapprove of it, most people already have gametags/PSN IDs in their signature already, myself included.
