This. I'm never on any boards besides off topic/forum games/highscores and never really seen much of his posts, and I almost voted for him because everyone did. Then I understood how st0pid that would be.Plus, the mods know he's nominated by now, instead of putting the same one over and over try to support members that haven't been nominated.

- Jstump already moderates the subforum for FoFiX development, so I don't know if he minds having expanded privileges to the rest of the forum as well, he does already have moderator experience this way.
- BSRaven, though a little hardheaded/stubborn at times (no offense intended) does know what he is talking about and he has been on the forum for a very long time.
- Kenshin seemed like the responsible kind of person, but I don't think he is on here that often anymore.
- As far as Death_au goes, I have seen a lot of messages from him and they are all honest opinions and at the same time pretty humorous (like the upside-down evil smiley), he also spends a lot of time trying to help and improve the forum so he fits the title well. However, I do agree with Maartah/K4P that we have to look a little further and don't just take other people's opinions, you want someone to become a moderator due to skill, for gods sake.

@Nwru: Isn't it better to have people sign themselves up for the role, therefore removing rule nr 1 only, and then have people to discuss who fits the role the best? That way we know who actually would want the role of moderator and if the people that signed up get placed in the OP we can all compare them more easily to each other. Because due to the earlier mentioned reason (by Maartah/K4P) I don't think nominating others is as handy as debating them.

Are you saying this because you want to nominate yourself?
The first rule was definitely there because it's more interesting to see what people think of others first, reducing greatly the risks of "z0mg!!!11! wanna be a moderator!" posts. It was already planned to remove this rule later. However, it's handy to see many votes for the same person, this way it shows the boards can come to a consensus and choose someone they would globally accept as a new moderator. It's not like if names hadn't been mentioned before the creation of this thread, the thread helps confirming or contradicting these thoughts.
Also, if you mainly hang in one or two sections of the forums, nobody forces you to nominate someone as a global moderator. Instead, feel free to nominate someone who could be moderating these specific sections.
