You can get my chart here:
http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?nmynhyiyyle
But if you were already downloading, it's OK.
Well, what about "Achievement System"? I think this would be great! :woot:

Damn, the upload doesn't work. The host puts some script in the page. Also the links don't work.

---- EDIT ----

I think it would be great too, but I have to build more and it takes time.

Yea,

I have an idea: I'll give you acces to my project page, no stupid stuff there.
Wait.... Do you know what subversion / svn is?

---- EDIT ----

Go here:

The admin password is "secret" as default. Config.php is configured to the needs of my project page. Go ahead and do what you like.

well, now warhol mentions it:
This is not only between us. I'd be very pleased if more people would use Fretsweb's uploadurl and pass their name here, so I can make a username.
The uploadurl is:http://cvs.codeyard.net/Fretsweb/fretsweb/upload.php

Why don't make the username automatically added? It would be easier. :)

I will work on it after the DB-backupper.
Thank you.

But what if we told you that we wanted someone to make a score chart for our site? :P

Acrox and I are looking into hosting our own scores table (Like the World Charts), and were thinking that you could help.

Wow, I am honoured to help you out.

Some info:
The official world chart server runs on python2.5 with several needed plugins. It's python so you'll need a very fast server or it won't work. (Python is lots slower than PHP. How long does it generally take you to load a player page on the world charts?) Besides that, I think you will not find a good server that runs python.
I've messed a lot with server stuff, I even got a private server of Maple Story working (some random MMORPG), and I've tried to set up a world chart server of Frets on Fire. Even after two days I didn't get it working.

Conclusion: I would love to help.

We've seen the capabilities that the score charts have, and we're looking for a server ATM to host such a large and powerful chart system. We think we could find one that will properly host scores sometime in the near future (Acrox is good at stuff like that).

Thanks again for wanting to help!

No problem. But myself, as the creator of Fretsweb like to test it, you don't to do much:
Only change your uploadurl to http://cvs.codeyard.net/Fretsweb/fretsweb/upload.php and if you didn't yet, enable uploading.
Please, I need testers.

---- EDIT ----

Oh, go to http://cvs.codeyard.net/Fretsweb/fretsweb to see the songs you can play.

I signed myself up and added myself to the list. Now all I should have to do is play one of the songs? Because I tried to play Acrox's "Afterlife" earlier with the upload URL you gave me, and it didn't work. I'll try again now that I'm in the contest server.

EDIT: I stopped before I finished the song because it's late and I don't want to play the whole thing again, thus my uber low score. The uploading works, though!

Well, I don't why the old 0.5 got some problems. I add my Afterlife but there are some problems, that's why the song's chart looks weird in the fretsweb test server. Well, I think it has been fixed now? Because it looked better. Good job ds.

---- EDIT ----

How about X10Hosting? Is it good enough? It support Python scripts(but wait, how can we install dJango at there?). I think Python is not necessary for us.

The problem is, we don't have the scripts in any other language besides Python. That's how the contest server code was distributed.
