High accuracy, but low score

Postby italianstal1ion » Wed Mar 11, 2009 12:21 am

I'm getting higher accuracy, but all my scores are much lower on drums. I would guess its my drumset, since the pads are cracked, but I don't break streak on guitar hero or rock band. I've used the same version of FoF to make all these scores - 3.030.
I got +10% higher on a song and still got a lower score!

Just take a look;

Your combo is much lower.
When holding a streak you get the x4 multiplier longer, and in the end its a big difference.

He has hit 10 percent more, the difference between 207 and 188 is not that much of a deal. I got no clue what it can be though.

scoring system might have been changed... in Rock Band each note has a base score of 25 points (for drums). they made it lower than other instruments because songs have way more notes for drums than for any other instrument. i dont know if it is the same with FoF.

You might have activated starpower at different times.

The difference between 207 and 188 is not that much of a deal but longest note streak doesn't mean it's the only long streak you made. Let's say you have a 625-note song and play it two times. If on the first run you get a 300, a 125 and a 200 notes streaks you'll most likely get a higher score than a second run with only one 325 notes streak and 30 little 10-note streaks.

I couldn't activate starpower at different times because its on drums. And I know it isn't my drumset crapping out because I don't lose streak on Rock Band. Maybe my computer lags every time star phrases come up and it always says that I miss them? That would make sense, because it would effectively break my streak and not ever activate starpower.

Sure, that's right, but I dunno, wouldn't he have noticed it? I mean, he doesn't know what causes the difference in score, I thought he would've thought about that. But it is, ofcourse, an option :P
