Re: Horror movies
Hmmm, yeah, I'll need to watch a trailer. I never took it seriously because ballet (you know what I mean).
Also, there's no HD download source yet. The best I can get for the moment are DVDSCRs
EDIT: wow, Arlington Road and Shutter Island are amazing, thanks a lot, too bad my friends aren't coming over this time, damn weather.

Re: Horror movies
The Black Swan DVDrip or DVDscr or whatever it is (the one that came from an iTunes source) is actually good quality, if you don't need EVERYTHING in HD. If you can take SD, the quality's just fine.
Also, don't go by the trailer. I saw trailers, then I saw the actual movie... they left all the horror/thriller parts (or most of them, anyway) out of the trailers. It is an excellent movie.

I know I don't need everything in HD, I'd be bawing about Arlington Road by this time :P
I don't even have an HDTV at home, just my faithful monitor. The problem with DVDSCRs are the watermarks and/or black and white parts.
I'll be checking it out then. I know trailers are not always my most reliable source, Tangled happened o be extremely different from the official trailers.

Really?
Re: Horror movies
Yeah, I walk in, see a ballet dancer and start wondering why would I watch ballet dancers on a movie. This, before reading the plot.
I assumed too much stuff hehe.

Re: Horror movies
Ok I was a bit inmature on that one, so what...
BTW had to sync the Arlington Road subtitles manually, typical.
EDIT: Finished watching the movie. it was simply Epic.

BUMP
So... Black Swan is on Blu Ray so I'll be giving it a shot. Enjoyed Shutter Island from the start to the very ending though none of my cousins understood what was going on.
@RedShadow: is this "The Wicker man" you were talking about?

Re: Horror/conspiracy/suspence movies
lol yeah. Hillarious sh*t right there.
I would also like to point out that my post wasn't serious. If you look at it you'll find they are all terrible movies. Except for Zombieland, that was fun, but wasn't horror at all.

@RedShadow: Yeah, I see that. "The Wicker Man" is said to be one of Cage's worst movies ever.

Re: Horror/conspiracy/suspence movies
This is a huge list of mindf*** movies. Some of them are more philosophical, and some of them are horror/mind-bending/dark, along the lines you're looking for likely. Jacobs Ladder, The Machinist, Timecrimes are really good and dark.

Hmm that's quite a long list. The only two *I heard from* in that list are "13th Floor" and "A Clockwork Orange"
