I don't know but this sounds extremely contradictory.

I'm gonna guess...

"Looked detailed and "realistic", but was utterly brown and drab"
"The key to strategy...is not to choose a path to victory, but to choose so that all paths lead to a victory."

I personally don't care if a game looks realistic or not, as long as it's not a sore on the eyes. I just think that a lot more could be done to the game if it were put on the PS3 or 360.

Oh, and Gamecube's graphics ARE NOT damn good by today's standards. They in no way look bad, they just don't measure up with the PS3 and 360's capabilities.

Well, yeah. That's basically like saying "VHS looks OKAY, but nowhere near as good as DVD."

And yeah, this. It was sharp and detailed, but for the most part it was pretty boring to look at.

Man, screw graphics. I'm gonna head back to my times of Sprity, Spriterton and the funtacular 16 bit games.

Ya know... fun. The thing that should trump all when it comes to games :P

Dammit, now I have the urge to hook up the NES that's at home and pop in Tecmo Bowl or Dusty Diamond's All Star Softball...

This doesn't really apply to all games though. In Adventure games, graphics should always be pretty high up on the list.

Why? As long as you can tell something you can interact with apart from the background, it shouldn't matter...

That was stupid. You have never played a gamecube game. We aren't talking about how realistic it looks or how powerful a console is. We are talking about design and how the developers used the engine at their disposal to make the games look "damn good".

Using an emulator isn't exactly a fair way to show how good those games look. Resolution plays a big part in this. Also anti-aliasing. A little AA came make a game look soooo much better.

Well, yeah, that's what I was referring to. Older adventure games tend to be pretty difficult to navigate if you're playing them for the first time nowadays.

But that's pretty much how it looked.

No, it does not. Play your Gamecube on an HDTV. Then play that same game on the same TV with your emulator. Emulator will always look sooooo much better.

One thing that's never really mentioned when it comes to how games look is framerate. That's one thing the Gamecube also excels at (especially with Nintendo games). They all run a a very high, steady, and smooth framerate. The same can't be said about 90% of the games today. I rarely can play my 360 anymore because most games are locked at 30fps (and often drop below this) or don't even manage to reach 30fps (Castlevania Lord of Shadows is big on this). It causes inputs to become unresponsive or even dropped and makes all of the games just feel extremely sluggish.

In other news, Keiji Inafune is leaving Capcom and this game is falling apart.

Are you guys still strict about reviving old threads?

So, Megaman Legends 3 got canceled due to "lack of support". So show your support by liking this page.

I just thought it wouldn't be right not to post this here, just in case there were any fans hanging around.

It got cancelled because the 3DS is crap and everyone is jumping ship, believe me there's no lack of fan support.
