Does anybody here ride?
Motocross.
Bikes, quads, you name it. I ride a Yamaha YFZ450RSE. Beastly. Also ride a Yamaha Raptor 250.
In terms of bikes, I ride a few. Honda CRF 250X and a YZ 125. Just curious as to who on these forums rides as well. I haven't been able to get out and ride lately due to my job and summer school, but I'm hoping to get some time off to just ride.
Yeah :)

I ride my mom's car. Does that count? Jk. I ride my bicycle. Bicycle FTW.
Re: Does anybody here ride?
there are only two types of motorcycle riders. Those who've had an accident, and those who will.
anyway, i'm content to either walk, ride my (non-motorized) bicycle, or drive my car anytime i need to get someplace. plus, it's safer. ;P

Hahaha. I'm one of the "those who will" riders. My dad's girlfriend got hurt pretty bad last weekend :/ She's trying to keep her sponsors while she recovers.

My father's been riding for 20 years (oh crap, now I feel old) and although he's had some close calls, he's not been knocked down or hurt once.
There are a lot of motorcycle accidents, and a lot of them are the fault of drivers not looking, but a lot of others are just idiot bikers who think they're hot sh**.
Never driven a car or ridden a motorbike, but one of these days when I start earning some real money, I want to buy myself a bike and start riding.

B*****s don't know 'bout my manpower.
Seriously though, I'd fall off a bike due to the fact that my center of balance, for some strange reason, becomes all messed up when I get on any kind of bike, whether it be a bike with pedals, or a bike with a motor.

Beastly. I've ridden one. Orgasmic, to say the least.

Yeah like I said they are pretty beast. My 200X has the smoothest ride imaginable while maintaining performance which is nice.

Gawd, my 250 has to have at least $2500 in after-market parts on it. ASV levers, a fatty pipe, shock covers, new Dunlop tires, completely custom bodywork... it's insane :) I'll have to post a pic.

Re: Does anybody here ride?
My Grandpa has a few Harleys that he occasionally rides, although that doesn't seem to be the type of motorcycles this thread is centered around.
I'm personally more of a car fan, for 2 reasons:
1) While if you're smart about riding the risk is reduced, the accident rate on motorcycles is still pretty high. And the fact that these wrecks are more likely to have very bad consequences (serious injury and/or death), it just doesn't seem safe enough for me
2) It would suck to be caught in the rain or snow or other bad conditions when riding.
Don't get me wrong, if it weren't for my first reason for preferring cars, I would get my motorcycle license ASAP (I'll probably still end up getting one though for occasional rides). I mean, who wouldn't want the better gas milage, better performance per dollar spent, and better road feel? You'd have to be stupid to not!
