How much should I sell my SNES for?
Alright, I'm selling a Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) that is in excellent condition, plus a lot of games and accessories for it. Is anyone interested? I've looked on Amazon, and the lowest price for a used system alone is about $40. Some of the games I have for it are extremely rare (such as MechWarrior) and worth $50+. I'm thinking about selling it for about $500 or more, but the price is negotiable and I haven't settled on a price yet.
This includes:
-SNES system
-cords and cables
-2 controllers
-1 mouse
-Game Saver
-Game Genie
-16 games
--Alien 3
--MechWarrior
--NHLPA Hockey 93
--Civilization
--Operation Logic Bomb
--Super Star Wars
--Super The Empire Strikes Back
--Super Return of the Jedi
--Mega Man X
--NBA All-Star Challenge
--NHL Stanley Cup
--John Madden Football
--Boogerman
--The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
--Donkey Kong Country

Sell it all for 650. Thats fair. The system, you might get 35. The only reason it goes so high is from the rare games.

$100???? ARE YOU NUTS?????
Some of those games are 100+!!!!!! If you sell it for less than 600, your waisting your time. 600-650 is about what it all goes for. Thats what all of its worth.

Yeah, I've seen some rare games on Amazon being sold used for over $100 (lowest price).

Pfft. I wouldn't buy an SNES and games for anything for over $100, but whatever, knock yourself out.

You obviously don't have a clue how much some of those games are worth.

You used to be able to buy all that at a swapmeet for 15 dollars. Thinks have changed I guess. XD

Probably not a whole lot... Video game systems are like toys... They usually don't raise in value over time. Wear, tear, dust, things like that depreciate the value over time.
Unless you find a devoted buyer, you're not gonna get a whole lot.

$100 max. Honestly, name one game there that is rare. I've seen all of them (aside from Boogerman) at a local vidy game shop here. I know the prices probably more than anyone else here because I actually go to shops looking for old video games (a bit of a collector). Anyone who'd pay over $100 for that is an idiot.

Plus, emulation. Collectors are really your only bet. Keep it, sell it in ten years.
