Re: St. Anger vs. Death Magnetic.
Having heard neither of them, and probably never will, I chose St. Magnetic.

Re: St. Anger vs. Death Magnetic.
Just back on the basic topic of the thread.
Death Magnetic is in a way, vintage 'Tallica. The 8 minute songs, the crazy solos put almost everywhere, the progression of the songs, just brought back the faith in these guys. But that's me.

It's just a simple question, not stupid.
It's like asking someone Coke or Pepsi.
Questing songs: You Know You're Right (GH:WT DLC), Negative Creep (GH:WT DLC), Sliver (GH:WT DLC).

What??????? The hell???
St.Anger wasn't as bad as the critics said but Death Magnetic is far superior. I love every single song on that album, and I'm sorry to say that only Frantic, St.Anger, some kind of monster and the unnamed feeling are worthy of metallica.
I really don't care how well either of them were produced - and no-one should! True metallica fans wouldn't complain that it is too loud or that the drums drown out the guitar, I can't tell the flipping difference, and I've got excellent hearing!
But I guess it depends what you like; if you liked the way metallica were going with St.Anger, that's understandable. I personally loved their old stuff like Kill 'Em All, RTL,MOP and the black album. Death magnetic is similar in style to this but I think it is still different and I love it.
Hehe. I've written a whole **ing argument.

Because you can't be a fan and hate something that someone does.

Re: St. Anger vs. Death Magnetic.
Haven't heard all songs on both albums, though I don't think st. anger is as bad as so many claim I like most of the songs on Death magnetic that I listened better (Cyanide, unforgiven III, suicide & redemption)
