Just saddened by the loss of my country's most important democratic figure, the Mother of Democracy, Corazon Aquino.
In case you don't know, Corazon Aquino was the first woman president of the Philippines, and brought back democracy after being in dictatorship for almost 15 years. Throughout her life, she withstand battles and obstacles like the assassination of her husband, Sen. Ninoy Aquino, 7 Coup d'etats, and stage four colon cancer. She died peacefully last Saturday at 3.18 am.
R.I.P. Tita Cory.
My avatar's currently a yellow ribbon in dedication to her.
