Honestly, making these lists for me is more difficult than making a fifteen letter word in scrabble. I'm pretty open minded. I really like accoustic guitars and vocal harmonies. The specifics change considerably depending on what mood I'm in.

Great choice, also I totally agree, my list has changed since I posted it

Albums in no particular order:

Scar Symmetry - Pitch Black Progress (the album doesn't have a single bad song)
Dream Theater - Images and Words (neither does this, I'm starting to accept the lenght of the songs too)
Sonata Arctica - Reckoning Night / Unia (can't decide between these two, very different albums but both very good)
Symphony X - Paradise Lost (best SX album, vocals kick ass as always)
Trivium - The Crusade (Shogun got close, but I think this is a tiny bit better)
Evile - Enter the Grave (best thrash metal in a long time, imo better than Slayer)
John 5 - The Devil Knows My Name (some of the best shredding ever made)
CMX - Talvikuningas (none of the single songs is very interesting, but they work well together)
Stratovarius - Visions (no bad songs in this one either)
Megadeth - United Abominations (I like the new 'Deth better)

And a special mentioning goes to Kotiteollisuus - Helvetistä itään, best album ever made with all songs based on the same chords.

I'm not even going to try listing bands or songs, you can't compare Sonata Arctica to Evile. Besides, that album list has many of the artists that would be on my list if I made one.

I don't consider anything Metallica did post-Cliff Burton to be real Metallica. And Justice For All was a decent effort, but it just didn't come close to puppets (or even ride the lightning for that matter.) Again this is just my personal opinion.

---- EDIT ----

That's a tough one. I wanna say Roots (Roots Bloody Roots was the ultimate kegger-party song back in high school) but in my honest opinion Chaos AD was the better album all the way through. Propaganda to this day is one of my all time favorites songs.

Well, I just read my lists and they are completely WRONG for this week anyways. Though it is right if I had to choose 10 bands to listen to nonstop.

I can't keep everything the same. I need diversity.

Look at www.last.fm/user/TheAznKid to know what's currently "in" to me.
