Vista + Windows Defender = god. I have yet to have a single issue with anything involving malware (and I go to many porn sites :))

AVG and Avira are the best free AV. Avira is more secure (those beeps can be removed, which I always do), but AVG uses less resources. Though, the best AV ever is NOD32 (commercial, as already said).
