I really want to make FoF videos for youtube and i have fraps. The only problem is that when i start recording FoF runs slow even if i make the window small. Can somebody help me with this problem or suggest another program i can use.

Fraps is at 20 fps and frets on fire is at 640 x 480.

Maybe you should put the FPS up a bit (30 works for me)

Also, expect some lag, all recording devices slow stuff down a bit (Fraps is actually the best I've tried)

Increasing the frame capture rate will slow the computer down more. There's not much you can do besides free up computer resources by closing down programs you don't need. If you're not online, you can turn your antivirus off long enough to finish a capture. Depending on your AV, it may or may not make a difference.

Otherwise, try a less intensive theme and/or decrease the visual effects as low as you're willing to go.

Oh yeah, avoid stage backgrounds and necks, they tend to eat away quite a bit it seems. :S

Using graphic settings like this or this helps a lot. Just taking out the background and neck gets me around 10 extra fps.

You should set fraps to run at 29.97 fps.

I record my vids with around 15-20 fps. That's why I'm not that inane in my vids... But I'm used to it. But I run with pretty high awesome graphix... xP
