Has anyone here ever done a speedrun of a game?

I'm currently doing a speedrun of Hitman: Blood Money on normal. It's nothing special compared to some runs on professional, but I wanted to do it simply because Hitman is such an awesome game.

About speedruns: When speedrunning a game, your main goal is to get through the game as fast as possibly, using glitces, bugs, almost anything but actual cheats. Sometimes you should go for other things too besides only time, like I do on my Hitman runs, where I try to get best rank in very short time.

Here's a link to playlist with my Hitman videos (currently 4):

I think that I've got the perfect run for the first level in Super Mario World on the Gameboy, but that's it. A speedrun is not my kinda gameplay; I used to play games for hours and hours, exploring every last piece of it. I got two FF VIII savegames with a combined playingtime of about 300 hours. On one of em I'm not even on the final disc. MAN I love FF VIII.
Right now, I don't play that many games besides fof :p

Damn, and I thought my 5-hour run of Yoshi's Island was awesome.

Metroid side-scrollers are DESIGNED to be speed-run'd. Fusion is insanely short if you know where everything is.

I finished Super Mario Bro. on the NES in about five minutes or so once at a friend's house. Does that count? :D

I didn't have to enter any special code to get them or anything. I would classify them more as a (poorly kept) secret. I'd probably fail miserably if I did it again though.

It only cut out about five minutes of game time anyway.

I recall doing speedruns in Pokemon games during boring times some years ago. They were actually quite entertaining. :p

Hah! Just last year I raced my brother to see who could get through Gold the fastest!

I won by twenty-four seconds.

Oh how sad, to imagine a 15 year old and a 22 year old playing Pokemon Gold.

EDIT: Oh, and so you know, that -includes- Kanto's gyms.
