Note with the fact that you can get songs from the first game mean you can still play Maiden, NIN, and all the bands in the first game and not in the second.
There is Blink-182 DLC and you can get the Killers song from the first game

Disturbed on drums is gonna be fking awesome! That's like one of the most famous drum rolls of all time.
Guy 1: All your face are belong to us.
Guy 2: W... I'm sorry, what?
Guy 1: You heard me. All your face are belong to us.
Guy 2: I think it's base. All your base are belong to us.
Guy 1: Oh yeah? Ya think so, do ya?
Guy 2: ...yes.
Guy 1: *rips guy 1's face off.* Now what do you have to say for yourself?

Not all songs will be exported, HMX have to relicense the songs, so dont count on getting the covers exported

Goodbye everyone. It's been fun. I spent many many hours here on these boards and playing/contributing to FoF. Today I uninstalled my game and deleted all my files. I just don't have the time or interest anymore. I won't be coming back here anymore. I might show up in the IRC from time to time to chat. I regret nothing.
So long, farewell.

there is no difference between rb1 and rb2 dlc. if you have them now, THEY WILL WORK FOR RB2.
edit
The only thing that your not going to see available do to licencsing would be rb1 disc songs

Thats what i was talking about, the on-disc songs. Rock Band is a platform game so all DLC is for both games
