You know there have been other messages posting to the forums about people not being able to hang on the forums.

Maybe their mom made them stop, or people weren't nice, or they just thought all the stuff sucked.

Well I too have had to put up with people who can't seem to figure out simple instructions, or want some non essential feature, or might be complaining on how my mod deleted their entire windows XP.

I've dealt with noobs, regulars, and some whack jobs. I try to be nice, but sometimes it's just too much to bear. Sometimes I don't know if I have the strength to go on.

So in light of all the other people posting messages to the forum about how they are leaving and no one seems to care, I too have something to say

I am posting about my time in the forums and how I'll be sticking around for a lot longer. You'll still have to put up with me and I will also have to put up with you.

So chumpwiches, get used to it. There will be flaming and noobs, and non noobs and other stuff. It's the internet don't be a sensitive baby...man up and learn to play in the sandbox with everyone else.

True dat, Rogue. If you look, it's really a small percentage of the threads that end up with fighting or insulting, but with so many threads passing through every day, those are the ones that get populated and people notice.

People are too sensitive, and take stuff to seriously. Man up indeed.
Its just like life. Quite interesting in parts, but no substitute for the real thing.

Alex I love you,
I guess people posting those 'I leave' messages are just expecting us to supplicate them to stay. It's not even about 'unification' of different rythm games communities, it's just selfish hunger of some fake fame and glory. "Let me tell you, I could do some serious help to this game" come on, you wanna help? help. You don't? don't! Everything we do receives critics, no matter what it is.
Many members here are having fun; and let's admit it, most members don't post and just download songs and mods. Only a small bunch of members will register expecting people to tell them what has already been written a 100times and when they get replies saying they should search, even if it's rudely said, instead of admitting they should have done so, they will complain about the forum attitude.

It's not hard to understand why this forum has many agressive or whining threads: happy users don't create threads about it, indifferent users either.

People saying they're leaving is kind of lame. It's like they expect people to care. We care if it's some of the more useful people (I'm sure some people would cry if Alex left). "But for those who have been members for a week, noobed up, got flamed, we don't really care that much. So just leave. No need for a big announcement.

Although I may disagree with the way humans treat each other in general, and may voice my opinion on it, I still deal with it manfully. If you don't you'll just end up emo.

I only regret that I didn't get to post in some of those topics that have been locked recently.

or want some non essential feature

XD, that reminds me of a PM I sent to you, Alex, about the RF4 library source-code so I could remove the multiplyer flashes. That's a non-essential feature. My bad if that was a bother, ;)

Jezz, it's the internet people. Unless you've done something worth being remembered for, nobody is gonna give a rat's ass. That's the way it is. Of course, in your case, people might actually give a damn.

or, there are the ones like me where some months they have the time to be on the internet almost 24/7 and other times where they just don't have time for it...

Since university is back, I don't know if I have even played one game of FoF...there's just not enough time in a day...

I can't wait to be back and talk with everyone and look at how beautiful this game is becoming...but this is not now...

Sigs are as useless as this statement.

I finished reading that post, and all I could think was "Hell Yeah!".

Very well put, and it's good to see you aren't leaving us anytime soon :)

Goodbye everyone. It's been fun. I spent many many hours here on these boards and playing/contributing to FoF. Today I uninstalled my game and deleted all my files. I just don't have the time or interest anymore. I won't be coming back here anymore. I might show up in the IRC from time to time to chat. I regret nothing.

So long, farewell.

"man up and learn to play in the sandbox with everyone else."

Goes down in history. They should make you a dev.

Didn't scare me. Everyone knows that if you left this forum it would cause a rift in the time/space continuum. We couldn't have something like that happen, now could we?
