Just wondering, what do you guys think is going to happen with guitar hero and rock band competing. I want to eventually purchase both games, but do you think the companies won't be cruel and make you buy a separate guitar controller for each game?

according to the Rock Band Wikipedia article:

Harmonix has confirmed Guitar Hero guitar controllers will be compatible with the game, as well as other third-party guitar controllers
