I'm assuming if you had photoshop and made the background of the overlay transparent, you wouldn't get that unsightly "line" inherent in clayman's underbars. Am I right?

If you look at claymen3's sigs (no offense to claymen3, I just need an example) you can see where the background of his overlay picture stops, and it doesn't blend well with the rest of the sig. I was just wondering if you had a picture with a transparent background, if it would show up on the sig sort of like the letters in your "userbars are gay" underbar - they show up on top of the body of the sig, allowing the colors to blend properly.

I'll lay out the layers I have in mine, bottom to top.

-Base color (or rainbow)
-Image (the "Z", frets, and strumbar)
-Text (I like to add a shadow to it, in "layer style")
-Shine (part of a circle in white, with layer opacity set to around 40%)

It really isn't that hard to do in Photoshop if you have a basic knowledge of using it. Image layers with a transparent background look a LOT better, if you can manage.
