Off-topic: So people doubt my age, eh? Immaturity shows no age. Before we start a previous argument back up, im done.
On-topic: Here's hoping online gaming will be back up Monday or Tuesday.

My thoughts exactly.
Monday is what I'm hoping for, but I doubt it'll happen.

Re: PS3 Owners: Must Read ASAP
So..Activisions wins? That article shows how much people think they need the internet to survive, lol. My heart goes out to the retailers tho, it effects everyone.

Re: PS3 Owners: Must Read ASAP
Why activision?
Also, a lot of people use their consoles mostly for online multiplayer. So that's why, if there's none, well that happens.
It's got nothing to do with people thinking they need the internet to survive. It's more like, they only really like online multiplayer games so they get the console where they can actually play them.

Re: PS3 Owners: Must Read ASAP
Wha....what? Did you read that article? What does Activision have to do with this? And how are the retailers being impacted negatively? Here, let me read it for you:
-People are trading in PS3s more than ever
-Most of these people play online shooters
-Many people are cancelling or switching pre-orders that they originally had for a PS3 game
-Sony isn't informing concerned customers and so customers don't know where to go for information
Edit: damn, beat me to it.

Redshadow, Then you dont know a CoD addict, haha. But i see your point
Aander, i did read it. Im laughing at the the majority of the populous that actually traded their systems in; The "hardcore shooter players".

Re: PS3 Owners: Must Read ASAP
PSN needs to be back up already.
The only good thing I see out of this is the hundreds of awesome levels that lbp-nerds have made with all the down time.

yes, you are missing something here.

Another source, working for an independent retailer in the South West, said he had seen a “massive increase” in the volume of PS3s traded in in recent weeks, with most exchanging for an Xbox 360. He describes those trading in their PS3s as “the hardcore online shooter crowd” – players who spend most of their gaming time playing the same game online, and who are therefore greatly impacted by the outage.
That article also mentions Call of Duty a lot, which is one of Activisions things, is it not?
Edit: Though I will admit some of the thought process is either over or under thinking things a bit on amak's part.

His post doesn't really relate to that or any of the previous posts, and I've already addressed the parts of his post that I thought were about that article.

Re: PS3 Owners: Must Read ASAP
it's not as if people are buying another copy of COD, they are simply switching what console they preordered it for which has no cost on it. Activision doesn't "win" at all
Yes hardcore shooter fans are turning it in because they are the people that play online the most. common sense for the love of god

New system software update available for PS3
As far as I know, PSN is NOT up yet, but they're releasing a software update so that everything will be fine and dandy when PSN actually comes back online. So yes, it is still down, but at least this means they're actually doing something.
