Well, They are making GH for DS so I'm sure they'll have a way for it to work. No one said it's a guitar that hooks into the DS. It could be for all we know a fretboard the hooks into the bottem of the DS.

Also, there are these things called a table that hold objects for you. I don't know if you've heard of it or not. Now, GTFO my intarntez

Guitar Hero DS will definitely not be using the touch screen. Instead, as rumored, developer Vicarious Visions is planning the game for a peripheral (which may or may not look strikingly similar to the above concept). So it's confirmed at last: you will look like a total tool playing Guitar Hero DS.

There goes that moronic theory. It wouldn't be GUITAR HERO if you have to use the TOUCH SCREEN- hell it couldn't even be played the same, Please think before you post whatakevin.

I've wanted to do this ever since they announced it. Now that they have revealed the interface, it might work. Here's what I thought:

1. Yes, RAM is an issue. If there are any DS homebrew authors out there I would need assistance (I'm an aspiring programmer in High School with little to no experience I'll admit) in the second part:

2. Porting PyGame to DS: This is the part that would take the most effort in programming. If we could port this, it would make it easy to port the python code to DS

3. Porting the Code: Once PyGame is in place, it will allow for a port of the code to the game, changing the frets from 5 to two, and shortening the code to fit into the 4 MB RAM limit.

4. Porting the Mods & Songs: Mods would be made native, but there would be a converter to change the songs to four frets.

Simply put, I need input from developers if this idea is possible. Anything constructive would help.

Yes it has 4 frets only. And the way you hold the ds when you play GH:OT makes it obvious why it has only 4 frets, it doesn't allow hand movement.
