lol, I actually prefer to buy them like that. I remove the old sticker and make a new at officemax, makes it look brand new ;)

why would you even?

Because it increases the resale value, and looks better, and it's a hobby.

Why would you even not?

No collector wants to buy a NES cartridge that has a reprinted sticker.

Unless it's done really well. I don't just print out a sh!tty JPEG onto regular printer paper. I use top-notch stuff, the stuff the actual factories used to use to print theirs. Restoring old games (cartridge-based ones) is a hobby of mine, I make sure I do it carefully.

I don't care if the reprint is perfect. The fact of the matter is a reprint is a reprint.

Well, you're free to have your opinion. Most collectors however are fine with restored cartridges, as long as it's done professionally.

So if I take the original Mona Lisa and repaint parts of it, it's worth more? Good advice.

Not a valid comparison, since he's taking a shtty/ripped/written on label and makes a new one.

I'm with Vedi on this one btw. If I bought a game with a goodlookin glabel and it turns out to be areprint, I'd feel screwed.

Why don't I just build my own NES chips and cartridges that look EXACTLY like the originals, flash them with the rom, and start selling them? I could make so much money selling these to collectors as they obviously love this stuff.

Would you be happier with a print that had someone elses name on it?

As long as it's original, it's way better than a reprint. What you guys just don't seem to understand is: If you use a reprint, it loses value for a collector.
Since it's no longer the original.
The Derp is strong in here, I can almost taste it.
