Final Fantasy VI probably takes the cake for me.

i question whether this for moments that choke you up a bit but here it goes.

Grandia 3

Spoiler:The part where jumps in the the vector hole after Alfina fell in. His mother Miranda (Yuki's mom) holds his arm, Yuki looks backs back at her and she lets go. He falls into the vector hole and when it closes. Miranda falls into Alonsos arms and cries.



If i remembered teh dialogue i would have put it in too
